The magnitude of the flames and the dense column of black smoke forced the immediate intervention of multiple rescue units. The fight against the fire was led by a coordinated team that included the La Boca Volunteer Firefighters, personnel from Vuelta de Rocha, staff from City Station 3, and local detachment members. To ensure a water supply in a hard-to-reach area, the four crews were supported by two water tankers. The primary objective of the firefighters was to establish a containment ring to prevent the fire from reaching a second adjacent tank, which would have caused a much larger disaster. A preventive medical post from SAME was set up at the scene, and an emergency brigade remained on high alert during cooling operations. According to the official report, the victim count is minimal: no serious injuries or cases of carbon monoxide poisoning among residents were recorded. The only medical attention required was for a security employee at the site, who was assisted on-site by health personnel after suffering the initial impact of the blaze. The City Police collaborated in street closures and perimeter control to facilitate the movement of fire trucks, while fire investigators await the total extinction of the fire to begin investigations into the origin of the fire.
